The post office is open for business!
This week, we have been learning about the letter "C". Today we made chocolate chip cookies because cookies begins with the letter C. Today we took out our instruments and played some music.
We made Flubber today!
Recipe: Mixture 1: 3/4 cups Warm Water 1 cup Elmers Glue Food Colouring Mixture 2: 2 tsp Borax 1/2 cup Warm Water Here's how to make it: Stir mixture 1 together in 1 bowl, mixture 2 in another bowl. Make sure both are mixed well. Pour mixture 1 into mixture 2. No need to stir, just reach in and pull out glob of Flubber! Work it for 2 or 3 minutes. Have fun! We used our five senses to study our pumpkin.
Looked with our eyes- The students noticed the colour is orange, it has lines on it, and it has bumps. Listened with our ears- We knocked on the pumpkin and it sounded like there was a hole in it. Touched with our hands- We felt the outside of the pumpkin and it felt bumpy. We cut the pumpkin open and felt the inside. It felt squishy, slimy, and wet. Smelled with our nose- The inside smelled yummy. Taste- we made pumpkin pudding and some friends liked the taste but some friends did not. |
